Why egress pricing matters
Egress (data leaving the cloud) is where bills surprise teams: many providers give cheap or free storage and compute, then charge $0.05–$0.12/GB to serve it. A few — Cloudflare, some CDNs — offer free or near-free egress. To cut egress: put a CDN in front, compress responses, cache aggressively, and keep traffic on a provider's private network where it's free.
